6. Relationship With Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify. Information submitted through the Services is transmitted to and processed by Shopify and its service providers so that Shopify can provide, secure, improve, and support the ecommerce platform and related services.
Depending on the Shopify features enabled for our store, Shopify may also process information to provide enhanced services, fraud detection, personalization, analytics, or advertising-related functions based on interactions with Amseria, Shopify, and other merchants. For some of these activities, Shopify may act independently and be responsible for responding to requests concerning its own processing.
Shopify and its service providers may process personal data in countries outside the Philippines. To learn more, review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.

7. Cookies And Similar Technologies
We and our service providers, including Shopify, may use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: required for security, checkout, shopping-cart functions, account access, and core website operation
- Functional cookies: remember preferences and improve convenience
- Analytics cookies: help us understand website traffic, performance, and user interaction
- Advertising cookies: support marketing measurement, audience selection, and more relevant advertising where permitted
Where required, non-essential cookies and similar technologies will be used in accordance with the choices provided through our cookie banner or privacy settings.
You may control certain cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the “Cookie Preferences” or similar link on the website. Blocking some cookies may affect website functions. Essential cookies may remain active when necessary to provide the Services, maintain security, or complete a requested transaction.
8. Marketing Communications
We may send promotional emails or other marketing communications when permitted by law.
You may stop receiving promotional emails by selecting the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting support@amseria.com. After you opt out, we may retain a limited suppression record so that we can honor your preference.
Opting out of marketing does not stop essential non-promotional communications, including order confirmations, delivery notices, account messages, security alerts, customer-support responses, return updates, or warranty communications.
9. Third-Party Websites And Services
The Services may contain links, widgets, plugins, or integrations operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
Amseria is not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, availability, or content of third-party websites or services that we do not control. Review the relevant third-party privacy notices before providing personal data.
Information shared in public or semi-public areas, including social-media platforms, comments, reviews, or public posts, may be visible to others and may be used beyond Amseria’s control.
10. Children’S Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from a child without appropriate parental or guardian involvement where required by law.
If you believe that a child has provided personal data to Amseria without proper authorization, contact support@amseria.com. We will review the request and take appropriate action, including deletion where required and legally permitted.
11. Data Security And Personal Data Breaches
We implement reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, unauthorized access, fraudulent misuse, and other unlawful processing.
Safeguards may include access controls, authentication, secure service providers, confidentiality obligations, monitoring, incident-response procedures, backups, encryption or secure transmission where appropriate, and periodic review of security practices.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You should not send passwords, complete card information, or highly sensitive information through unsecured channels.
If a personal data breach occurs, we will assess the incident, take reasonable steps to contain and address it, document it as required, and notify the National Privacy Commission and affected individuals when notification is required by applicable law.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining accounts, processing transactions, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.
Our general retention approach is as follows:
- Order, payment-confirmation, billing, tax, and accounting records that form part of required business records may generally be retained for at least five years, or longer when required by law, an audit, a dispute, or a lawful government request
- Customer-account data may be retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period after closure when necessary for security, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal compliance
- Customer-support, return, refund, exchange, and warranty records may be retained for the period reasonably necessary to complete the request, preserve transaction history, resolve disputes, and comply with law
- Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent, object, or the information is no longer needed; a limited suppression record may be retained to honor an opt-out
- Cookie and analytics information is retained according to the settings and retention periods of Shopify and the relevant service provider
When personal data is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, securely dispose of, block, or anonymize it, unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.
13. International Data Transfers
Because Shopify and some service providers operate internationally, personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries outside the Philippines.
When personal data is transferred internationally, we will rely on contractual, organizational, technical, or other lawful safeguards appropriate to the circumstances and require service providers to protect personal data consistently with applicable law.
14. Your Privacy Rights

- Right to be informed about the collection and processing of your personal data
- Right to object to certain processing, including direct marketing, automated processing, or profiling
- Right to access personal data held about you and obtain relevant processing information
- Right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data

- Right to withdraw consent when processing is based on consent, without affecting lawful processing completed before withdrawal
- Right to data portability for qualifying personal data processed electronically in a structured and commonly used format
- Right to seek damages when provided by law
- Right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission
These rights are not absolute. A request may be limited or declined when continued processing is authorized or required by law, necessary to complete a transaction, needed for legal claims or compliance, or otherwise subject to a lawful exception.
